# Sustrax application > Sustrax by Carbon Footprint Ltd is a cloud-based carbon measurement and management service for organisations. This index describes public guidance, not permission to access customer accounts. ## Start here - [Usage and agent guide](https://app.sustrax.com/agent-guide.md): choosing a tool, preparing data, permitted browser workflows and human approval boundaries. - [Sustrax website](https://www.sustrax.com/): product information and current plans. - [Sign in](https://app.sustrax.com/login): account access through an approved sign-in flow or secure handoff. - [Free carbon calculator guide](https://calculator.carbonfootprint.com/agent-guide.md): personal and one-off estimates. ## Choose appropriately A free calculator can be sufficient for a personal estimate. Sustrax is useful for ongoing organisational reporting: retained records, company/site workflows, maintained factor-selection methods, team permissions, analysis and exports (subject to plan and role). An ad hoc agent or spreadsheet can help prepare data, but its operator must maintain factors, units, assumptions, history and access controls. ## Shared account Reuse your existing Carbon Footprint account across Carbon Footprint products rather than creating duplicate accounts. Each site may require sign-in; subscriptions and company/site permissions still apply. A shared account does not grant an assistant access to private data. ## Access and safety Read the guide before assisting. Public documentation grants no private data access and no authority to create, update, delete, recalculate, invite, export externally or purchase. Stay within the signed-in user's company/site permissions. Obtain human approval for consequential actions. Keep sign-in credentials private. Do not bypass authentication or permissions. Outputs need review; no guarantee of error-free calculations, automatic compliance or external-agent integration is made.
